Endurance Partners with BUILD to Help Educate and Empower Boston's Youth
$100,000 grant to help Boston area students graduate high school and establish them as entrepreneurs of the future

BURLINGTON, Mass., Nov. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Endurance International Group (NASDAQ: EIGI), today announced its official partnership with BUILD, a Boston-based organization that uses entrepreneurship and experiential learning to equip youth in under-resourced communities for high-school, college and career success. Through this partnership, Endurance will donate $100,000 in 2017 to impact the lives of approximately 400 Boston students and empower them to reach their fullest potential by completing high school prepared for future success.

As part of this partnership, Endurance will become directly involved in supporting students on their journey from high school to college by becoming mentors in BUILD's Student Youth Business Incubator. This program allows student business teams to work with BUILD staff and volunteer mentors from the Boston business community to learn business practices, develop plans and prototypes and practice for presentations to potential investors. Additionally, Endurance will sponsor the following BUILD events throughout the year:

  • BUILD's Entrepreneur Games
  • Youth Business Plan Competition
  • BUILDFest Student Business Expo

About 700-900 kids give up on their future and drop out of high school each year in Boston. What makes BUILD's four-year in-school and after-school program unique is that the program targets disadvantaged and disengaged youth whom most other college-success programs will not serve. More than 90 percent of BUILD students are low-income students of color who attend schools with graduation rates lower than 70 percent. BUILD addresses dropout issues by developing an engaging, hands-on curriculum with real-life challenges and ensuring that every student has a relationship with two caring adult mentors for two hours or more every week.
